Listing on “Inner City 100” Marks First National Designation for NSI Marketing Services

ST. LOUIS, MO (October 20, 2008) ― NSI Marketing Services is one of only two St. Louis firms listed on the 2008 Inner City 100 ― a ranking of the fastest-growing inner-city businesses in the country. The purpose of the ranking, compiled annually since 1998 by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and Inc. magazine, is to demonstrate that America’s inner cities are fertile environments for thriving economic growth.

NSI has more than proved the point for the City of St. Louis. President/CEO Mark Mantovani moved the firm and its 157 employees from cramped West County quarters to a spacious building on the western edge of the downtown area in mid-2005, and the company’s growth since then has been on a steady uptick. Today, the number of NSI associates tops the 200 mark, and 2008 revenues are expected to exceed $33 million.

The distinctions that NSI has earned have been steady as well ― including, in 2005, the Business of the Year award for the firm’s contribution to the economic development of the City of St. Louis; in 2006, the 17th spot on St. Louis Business Journal’s ranking of the region’s fastest-growing firms; and earlier this year, designation by St. Louis Business Journal as the largest independent ad agency in St. Louis.

NSI Marketing Services President/CEO Mark Mantovani says, “Recognition is a great motivator, as are our passion and commitment to excellence and client service. Comfortably situated in The NSI Building in downtown St. Louis and with a terrific team on board, NSI is stronger than ever and well positioned for the challenges and growth opportunities ahead. We’re proud to be contributing to the growth of the City of St. Louis and its reputation as a great place to do business.”
